Tips for Couples Visiting in Barcelona

If you are thinking of planning a couples holiday in Barcelona, you should give some thought into renting an apartment. If you and your closest set of friends like the sound of sharing the same space then you will reap the advantages. And, with lots of buildings to choose across the city, you’ll never be too far away from the sights you really want to see.

The first reason that an apartment is better than a hotel is because of the choice it gives you. For example, in an apartment you can prepare an intimate meal in the comfort of your own living quarters. Apartments, in general, are also considered to be less expensive to rent.

Why? Well, by having four people stay in the same apartment, you can split the cost four ways rather than two. This could create a saving of up to half. And, if you do decide to cook, then there will always be someone else there ready and waiting to clear up.

If you are of the mindset that the more the merrier, then a two-bedroom apartment could be the ideal situation. It wouldn’t be like four people staying in a two bedroom hotel room, but living within their own holiday home. With separate kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and living areas, you will have all the personal space you require.

There are lots of areas that are just perfect for couples. Where you choose to stay, of course, will depend on the kind of attractions you like to visit. For those with a passion for art and history, an apartment in the Gothic Quarter would be just ideal. This is where the ancient past of the city can really captivate your imagination.

Thus allowing you to take your time to wander in and out of the bijou stores and take in the magnificent 19th century architecture. Or why not enjoy a cool drink on a warm day on the terrace of one of the delightful cafes?

El Born has become one of the trendiest places in town because it combines old and new. The buildings are traditionally grand but the character of its residents is young and refreshing. For example, you’ll find delightful cafes serving modern cuisine in some of the oldest building in the city. It really is the best of both worlds.

If clubbing is your primary objective, however, then Las Ramblas is where you will want to stay. This is the busiest of streets in Barlcelona and is just littered with night time attractions. This is where the city is at its liveliest for those that like that sort of thing.

Being close to the action can bring a bit more noise, but you’ll find that’s outweighed by all the benefits. You’ll have less distance to walk home at night and less time travelling to where it is you want to go. Best of all, you’ll get know an area of the city that’s always very exciting.

Close to all three of the areas we’ve mentioned above is the marina. Thanks to lots of investment it is becoming one of the top tourist sites in Barcelona. So, if you like spending a little time by the sea, make your way here. There is also the aquarium to learn more about life beneath the waves.
