Big Bear Lake, CA had a massive snow storm in January, 2010. Other cities in the region had major floods that caused terrible ruin. But Big Bear was drenched in foot after foot of snow. The Bear Valley definitely proved its character in this time of crisis by banding together and helping their neighbors.

You may not be aware that buying an REO, a bank owned property, is quite a different process then buying a property the old fashioned way, and it is extremely important that your Realtor understands the difference. Let me tell you why if your Realtor doesn’t know the vast difference between the two, how it can cost you a lot of money, and possibly cause you to all together lose your property.

A question I seem to get quite a bit these days from my clients is ” What is the difference between short sales and REO’s?” I then , usually, go into a whole explanation of the pro’s and con’s of each, and end up telling them that REO’s are superior in every way. I have a couple of dealings over the past couple of months that really bring this point home.

Palm Springs is nestled at the base of the San Jacinto Mountain in Riverside County. But it’s much more than just a city next to a mountain range. The city has a rich, vibrant history dating back 10,000 years. Evidence has been found recently that an ancient Indian tribe that used bows and arrows and weaved baskets survived for a thousand years in the area now called Palm Springs! The real beginning takes root in the mid 1800’s and had helped this city grow into an international vacation oasis in the desert.
