What do you think of when you think about Southern California? I bet the word sunny comes to mind. How about the word sand or flip flop? Certainly those are images that come up as well. But, would you think of snow and winter sports? Not many people would. However, there is plenty of it in the second largest state. Northeast of San Bernardino, there is a place called Big bear Lake. And, there is plenty of skiing and snowboarding in Big Bear Lake California.

If you love a little adventure and need to go someplace unique and homely this time around, then you should check out the Big Bear resorts in Southern California. Like other places in that part of California, the atmosphere is sunny and frivolous. The two resorts are simply fabulous for vacationers and besides strolling the beaches you can even ski in the winter! In the San Bernardino Mountains about a hundred miles from Los Angeles, Big Bear Cabin Rentals provide comfortable accommodation and fun activities all year round.

Big Bear Lake, CA had a massive snow storm in January, 2010. Other cities in the region had major floods that caused terrible ruin. But Big Bear was drenched in foot after foot of snow. The Bear Valley definitely proved its character in this time of crisis by banding together and helping their neighbors.

You may not be aware that buying an REO, a bank owned property, is quite a different process then buying a property the old fashioned way, and it is extremely important that your Realtor understands the difference. Let me tell you why if your Realtor doesn’t know the vast difference between the two, how it can cost you a lot of money, and possibly cause you to all together lose your property.

A question I seem to get quite a bit these days from my clients is ” What is the difference between short sales and REO’s?” I then , usually, go into a whole explanation of the pro’s and con’s of each, and end up telling them that REO’s are superior in every way. I have a couple of dealings over the past couple of months that really bring this point home.
